Relational strength & depth
About Daniel
BSc (Honours), PgDip, MA, FRSPH, MBACP, MNCPS (acc) | Enhanced DBS As an integrative and relational practitioner, I believe the relationship between us is the foundation on which change begins — built on honesty, genuine warmth, and sincere curiosity about who you are, without judgement.
Why I work as a Psychotherapist
My accreditation is through an MA in Integrative Counselling (BACP-accredited), and I am a member of the BACP and NCPS, and hold an Enhanced DBS check to work with children and vulnerable adults. I'm also a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health, reflecting a broader interest in health and wellbeing beyond therapy. Between therapist and client, the quality of the relationship is the most important factor shaping a person's sense of safety and possibility. That belief still drives how I work with every client. Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked as an environmental scientist, ski instructor, and engineer—a winding path of change and transition. Outside the therapy room, you'll usually find me outdoors: hiking, mountain biking, and travel have always mattered to me, even during tougher periods of life. These days, my dog makes sure I still get outside to walk and mountain bike.

How I work as a Psychotherapist
I work relationally and practise integrative psychotherapy across individual, couple, and psychosexual work. My practice reflects a core belief: that the relationship between therapist and client is not merely the container for change but part of the mechanism of change. I trained to integrate and draw on psychodynamic, attachment, person-centred, somatic, transactional analysis, emotion-focused, CBT, ACT, solution-focused, existential, and systemic frameworks. I don't apply a single model; I work collaboratively with you, responding to what you present rather than imposing a fixed method.

Reaching out is often the hardest part. Many people wait before making that first move — that's completely normal. A brief, no-pressure chat costs nothing and commits you to nothing; it's simply space to ask questions and see if this feels right. Whether you're ready to book or just want to talk first, I'm here to help. Get in touch.
